TAE buffer (Tris-acetate-EDTA) is widely used for electrophoresis of nucleic acids in agarose and polyacrylamide gels. The buffer may be used as running buffer for gel electrophoresis, or when casting agarose gels. 1X TAE (1L) Buffer Powder Packets may be used as a running buffer for Precast GelRed® Agarose TAE Gels.
